How many web directories can you name? If you are anything like me, then the answer is just a few – Google, Yahoo, MSN – they are the main players so why consider anything else?

Well, by only submitting to the big boys, what do you think you might be losing out on? I was staggered to learn what is out there, and what people use to search for keywords without knowing. There are plenty of good quality, highly used search tools that can offer you trafic – but they are no use to you if you aren’t on their radar!

There are niche search engines, search engines that appear on websites and blogs, in short there are all sorts of ways in which people can find your conent. The problem? Well finding them!

I have found it near impossible to get registered with services outside of the big 3, and the main reason is I didn’t know where to look. A directory submission service would have been great, but I couldn’t find a reliable one of those either.
